The Battletech Universe is one step closer
Under the smoke screen of the Olympics, the Japanses company Suidobashi Heavy Industry unveiled it's latest creation, a fully functional piloted battle mech. Complete with water-bottle rocket launcher and BB Gatling guns capable of 6000 rpm.
The wet dreams of thousands of gaming nerds around the world just took a giant leap closer to reality. However, at a measly $1.3m USD, it might take a little while before we see too many Kuratas' rolling down the street.

1.3 mil is a drop in the bucket to any organization that would have the means or interest to weaponizie one of these things for real.

As soon as I can do this:
I am dropping out of school and joining whatever military will let me pilot one. I'll do it for free.

Its about time, I was getting impatient with not being a mechwarrior. On my last trip to Afghanistan, when I stepped off on patrol I was pissed everytime that I didn't have a mech around me.
