There's always some BS connected to Olympic Boxing , I think the worst was when Roy Jones was robbed of his gold medal in Seoul - by a South Korean, which is no surprise.
But
At least the IOC has dispensed with that stupid scoring system they had before where all the judges had to score a punch at the same time in order for it to count - that was fucking ridiculous.
I'm keeping an eye on Cam Clayton

And this guy - he could pull off an upset as well.

So I'm still fairly perplexed by how exactly the scoring works, but I've pretty much agreed with the results of all the fights I've seen this far. Also, I was in the arena last night and it was a great atmosphere despite the home team loss.
So SPOILERS ...
No american men made it past the quarter finals! I think this is the first time there's not been a US medalist ...er .. ever.
The women are doing better though by winning a bronze.
Nicola Adams wins the first ever womens gold with a great display of boxing.
Katie Taylor wins gold too with less dominant performance.
Next up is a good old fashioned cold war match up of Russia vs USA. -

No..our coverage is lame.
They pick a 3hr time spot, for example, and schedule three events that are going to be featured and you just have to wait it out.
But I do get US coverage from NBC as well..so I usually have three or four channels with varying programming to choose from; one US channel and three or four Canadian one's."
