Greetings fellow martial artists! My name is Eric and I have been training in the martial arts for many years. I've only been on the board for a short while, but so far am pretty impressed with what I've seen.

I am a student of Shidokan Karate at the Hombu dojo in Lansing, MI under Hanshi Seikichi Iha, head of the North American Shidokan Association. I'm very honored to train under Sensei, who attends every class, every day. ((That's 2 classes a day, plus kobudo, plus kids classes. )). At 80 years old, that's very impressive! I only hope I am as active at that age!

I train 3 days a week, plus train at home in between, although I am less interested in learning how to fight than attaining a level of fitness and the discipline and focus karate imbues in its practitioners. The style is very hard, physically taxing, and every technique must include focus and power under the watchful eye of Sensei.

There are a lot of interesting personalities on the board. I look forward to interacting with you.
