What would you call the throw kitadai won with? Looked pretty sweet. I've never really watched much judo before but I can't stop watching today they've all been exciting fights, does this mean the leg grabbing rues have worked?

Yup, like a treat. So much better than the abortion that was Beijing.

I have to say, pretty devastated that I was at a house with Foxtel but had to leave just before the Judo started. Here in Australia the free to air channels have put on Equestrian instead of Judo. I know Judo isn't massive in Aus but they should be hung for such blasphemy.

I wonder what caused the change in repechage rules? Also, blimey, Menezes was really going after that arm.

You could see the other girl had hurt it in her previous match and was having trouble holding out against the juji.

Same in US. Fortunately for me my wife is a competitive horse rider so I enjoy anyway. I think I've set my DVR to record maybe 30 minutes of Judo, it's all up to my carrier. I'll find out in 48 hours after much of the taping is done.

Charline Van Snick gets bronze for Belgium. (Nice choke in her second match by the way.) How does our broadcast react to this: they switch over to cycling when the 'golden score' starts for Van Snick. Despite the finals for cycling still having to really start.
