After all the people congratulating Gemma the second most common thing on facebook was everyone slagging off Densign White. He's managed to make pretty much everyone in UK Judo hate him, what a mong.

In the wake of Gibbon's silver medal the BJA website has crashed due to the sheer weight of traffic.

Her semifinal match victory was fantastic: http://www.judo.com.gr/2012/08/judo-...eo-audrey-fra/

Kayla was just too much for her though: http://www.judo.com.gr/2012/08/judo-...ons-gemma-gbr/

Watched it all live on a ginormous flat screen in the office, but thanks for the links.

Russia takes 3 men's Gold medals, incredible.
And that's what happens when Russians take Judo and bastardize it into sambo then pretend to be Judoists at the olympics.

    USA!

    Marry me, Kayla!

Now that I've said that, I am checking the comments on a U.S. news website about our first judo gold medal ever, and what's the first one? Some judoka griping about how the U.S. has abandoned the pure judo of Kano for the bastardized wrestling system you Europeans use. Followed by some twit saying Kayla looks like a man.
    (sigh)
And people wonder why I await the rise of the Antichrist and the ride of the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse not with dread, but with a kind of grim anticipation.

Outright leg grabs banned and people still complain about Judo looking like wrestling? Cripes.

Kayla's already engaged. I did a quick link to an article on her in Martial Arts In The News if you missed it.

I've been struggling to keep up because Australia's coverage of the Olympics without the luxury of pay TV (and from what I understand, even with the luxury of pay TV) sucks fucking cock major. So can anyone tell me how jumbo here went?
