Interesting, and kind of unexpected. Cormier is going to annihilate him, but at least he's got a fight instead of waiting for Zuffa to transfer him over.

First JDS, now Cormier... Mir is being put through a grinder here. Someone must not like him.

Cormier is just a hilariously bad matchup for Mir- strong wrestler with good striking, heavy hands, and awesome top control. He must have screwed one of the Fertitta's wives or something.
I know this is probably him just paying back the favor they gave him when they slotted him into the title fight. Still, it's going to be a mess.

I dunno, the fight makes sense to me. I think Cormier will win though.
His heart was visible, and the dismal sack that maketh excrement of what is eaten.
This is unexpected but it makes perfect sense. Mir's loss to JDS solidified his status as a gatekeeper. Cormier is the next man the UFC wants to bring through the gate.

I hope they'll give him another gatekeeper after he beats Mir.

It must be getting harder and harder for poor Frank to talk whit all the time.

Not a bad matchup - Cormier being the favourite after outwrestling a very high level wrestler in Barnett and being Fat David to Bigfoot's Brazilian Goliath, but Mir can pull subs out of his ass with worrying speed as he displayed against the titanic Lesnar and BJJ legend Nogueira.
I wouldn't count Mir out, but I see Cormier taking it by decision fairly confidently and then heading to the UFC to do well but ultimately fall flat against the very top opposition there. Hope he does well though, rooting for the chubby fella has been a favourite pasttime of mine since the Age of Fedor.

See I disagree, I think he'll get even better with more experience, hence my above post. I fear his last two performances were perhaps too stellar for his own good.
