Style: Traditional Mix--
While I did not catch the prelims, I enjoyed the main card, especially for free. Thought the Swick fight was great, the Lauzon fight was pretty damn good and the light heavies were about what I expected. Surprised at the Rua/Vera match. Both seemed gassed after the third round. Looking at the energy levels and then looking at Jones, I am not so sure either Machida or Rua can pull it off.

JLAU was fucking awesome, massive respect again for his fight, he's fucking tough and always provides AWESOME fights. It was beautiful, lovely show of Jits and control, as well as slick transition into back and the sub attempts. Really, really like watching him fight!
Bader vs Machida was disappointing, it's like Bader learnt nothing from all the other people Machida has countered in exactly the same way and just went "**** it, I bet he hasn't seen anyone do THIS befo-" laying on the ground...
Shogun vs Vera was a good fight, Vera really looked good when he started throwing his combos in the 3rd and early 4th, I wish he tried to separate more and keep that distance and beat him with the striking before the end. Props to Shogun for ending it when he saw it. -

I think people are judging Bader too harshly.
The entire fight, Machida was leaping backwards and never stood and traded with Bader. If he threw a strike, it was only one or two, then he would immediately retreat. Bader started running at him and reaching in an attempt to land a strike.
That last time, Bader thought Machida would once again leap 6 feet backwards as soon as he started moving in, and of course that was exactly what Machida wanted. He moved forward instead of back, and BAM. -
