    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Been a while since I've seen one of these threads.

I got up to 3rd brown in Wado Ryu, then ended up quitting in anger because I felt like my instructor was holding me back. I just didn't understand why I didn't get promoted to black belt at age 12.

I"m currently in BJJ, and the only thing I have with color so far are bruises and blood spots on my gi.

Awesome, the objective of training is after all, to be trained.

Not too long after I got my blue belt, it came undone during training. So my opponent strangled me with it.

I have trained in several styles, but the most memorable test I had was my Sho-dan test in Chito-ryu(we are actually descended through Yoshukai, but that is for another time). Our style has evry close ties to Kyokushin and some of our testing procedures are very much alike. On the final night of the test, I had my "50 man kumite" to finish it up. The test seemed to last forever. The gyst of it is, new opponent every minute until the 50 matches have been completed. The rules are full contact with head punching allowed. To make this test even worse, my nose was broken 9 days prior to the finish of the test. By the end of the test, I was completely wiped out and I could hardly hold my hands up. There was a rather large amount of blood all over the school and in the uniform I was wearing that evening. Almost all of it was from my nose and mouth(I slowed down so much that my head movement was almost non-existent). I did get my shots in on my sparring partners, but I am willing to admit that I took the majority of the beating.

I have since tested in other styles, some of which had similar testing procedures. But my first Sho-dan test will always be the most memorable.

I currently use a similar format for testing my students with great results. They are proud of the rank they earn and it keeps our standards higher for each rank.

The fastest rank I've ever achieved- TKD Brown belt. I went into the bathroom a white belt and they were out of toilet paper.

Sirc is getting ready for a fight. He begs people to spar with him and hit him hard. Because if they don't I will. He will kill his next opponent or I will kill him.

I got my black belt in shito-ryu karate which took about 10 years. I started in it when I was 5 or 6 and got my belt at 16.
I'm a yellow belt at judo and white at bjj.

I would also have been give a blue belt at a TKD club if I joined them and competed. I found that a very good reason not to join.

I broke a board for my TKD blackbelt. I hit it so hard it destroyed the forest where the tree was spawned.
