I dunno, it seems like plenty of them wear their uniforms around downtown during Fleet Week when looking for some booty.

Remembering back to AIT, we couldn't wait for weekend pass so that we could go into Baltimore in civilian clothes to look for girls. They all knew we were soldiers by the haircuts and demeanor.
Later, as a reservist, I was asked to speak at a Memorial Day ceremony (in uniform), I resisted at first, then gave in. In retrospect, I'm sure my words were taken more serious because of the uniform.

I think this represents more for the gay service members; they have struggled and stressed for some time, and now they can breathe a sigh of relief. Even though I like to think I treated everyone I served with as an equal, some did not.

Everyone says a woman loves a man in uniform--That's because she knows he's got a job and won't mooch off of her.

I remember when one of my friends, a female Marine, took a gay Male Marine to the Marine Corps ball to help hid the fact that he was (undeniably) gay. Well she got wasted and totally forgot he was supposed to be her date....it ended up being a hilariously good time! Top was like "oh, so you brought XYC to the ball" and she was like "**** no top, he don't like girls!" The look on his face was awesome. I'm glad he can openly bring his mate to the ball now...though I really can't think of anyone who messed with him previous to DADT repeal..

That is hilarious. I never knew if any of the male soldiers I served with were gay or not. If any of them were, they never let anyone know. I also don't know if anyone would have caused them grief, but the potential was always there.

I can't imagine having to worry about a secret getting out and causing me to lose my job. That would stress me the hell out.

That's good to hear. I have a few gay friends who are enlisted. Allthough none of them go to pride events I am sure that they appreciate the fact they could if they wanted to.

Can I go to a white pride event in uniform?

Not that I'm against gays in the military, because I'm not.

PROOF that I'm not a completely useless poster:

That is not conducive to passionate cunnilingus, my friend, let me assure you.
