Just like this one:
I highly doubt that having a bunch of untrained civilians shooting back while blind from tear gas against an attacker with a bullet proof vest and an assault rifle would have done much for the situation.
uhmm...I'm not suggesting they should have employed armed guards,
Sorry, but it can be construed that way.Now if the theater had employed armed guards, maybe I could see that point.

The cops were not there and the shooting occurred before they arrived. So, you may have been one of the 12 killed or 38 injured when they finally showed up.I have seen some of the idiots using CC and yes I'm saying I would rather a cop protect me than most of them.
Go ahead, and do what you do best; assumptions. Here I'll start:
Untrained people would have killed more innocents. Oh wait you already implied this scenario my bad. -

Not to sound insensitive, but <600 deaths across the US and Europe since 1913 is a pretty insignificant number compared to pretty much any other cause of death you'd want to mention. I wouldn't call it disturbingly common, I mean, Detroit alone typically manages over half of that in homicides in a single year. -

I feel horrible about these people, but to think that this can "never happen to me or to my community" is just plain stupid. People choosing to be like this is beyond me.
This would never happen in armed states.
Sorry but Colorado needs to rethink banning citizens from protecting themselves. The Popo cannot help you.

Missed my point. Was (obtusely/sarcastically) demonstrating that these things are a common enough (comparatively) across the whole first world; and that America is not unique or exceptional in any category other than number of incidents (high) and severity (low).
Fake: Sort of. I was surprised to find out how common it was outside the US. I really thought we'd be the worst. We are not even exceptional. And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

And what the hell is up with Finland?
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".
