    Iraqi Black Metal

    I like metal. A lot. I think it's pretty fuckin' brutal, y'know?
    And this is the most brutal anything in the history of metal.
    A woman in Iraq, covering herself in corpse-paint and singing about burning the Quoran. Iraq being, as I hear it, a place where such things are frowned upon.
    If you find her grievances over-stated, keep in mind she got into black metal because Islamic radicals killed her parents.
    This woman is the fucking Batman of Black Metal.
    The fool thinks himself immortal,
    If he hold back from battle;
    But old age will grant him no truce,
    Even if spears spare him.

    I'll have to have a listen after work.

    By the description it sounds kind of like the Iraqi version of Chthonic, a Taiwanese metal band that's managed to piss off China.

    Great find. I'm not deep into the black metal/extreme metal whatever you want to call it genre but i definately enjoy the bands that bring something new to the table and separate themselves from the other bands. I stumbled on to Chthonic not too long ago a taiwaneese black metal group that is a breath of fresh air.

    The best part is that I can understand the lyrics of Chthonic just as much as any Black Metal band - not at all, but enjoying every second ;D Awesome. Adding them to the playlist

    I thought "Iraqi black metal" was a euphemism for depleted uranium. Ya learn something every day.
