    If you get tournament cut dogi you shouldn't have to hem them up or make many tailoring adjustments, right?

    Really doesn't matter for fighting beyond that. It was explained to me that having my sleeves too short can become a problem when I get into some of the Sai katas (cause they're about the right length to get caught up in them). And yes, I do think they look a little funny when they're too short. I am a VERY fashionable guy, after all.

    Yeah if your sleeve are just above the elbow or just below they'll get caught.
