Well ****, thanks for fucking reminding me of the motherfucking obvious, ************.
I was fucking pointing out that J-fucking-Q-motherfucking-P (a perfuckingsonification of an 'average' ************) is unlikely to be that much of a motherfucking stupid ****. One motherfucking license plate--or a whole whoring herd of true-fucking-believers-in-hippy-fu-who-fucking-call-each-other-motherfucking-'grasshopper'--do not fucking constitute more than a really fucking small (and really motherfucking sub-par) average. Even when the motherfucking 'par' in question is so fucking low...
...as opposed to the elevated and rarified level and style of this discussion. -

That, to me, is the great irony of studying/training-in martial arts. If something goes to court, you look like a lethal machine.
You'd better have trained in something alive enough to be able to restrain instead of smash, b/c if you're charged (or in my case, someone's charged for an attack, and needs to make you look bad to gain acquittal), you will unfairly be held to the Hollywood standard.
We had "keep it in the gym" burned into our brains during training, so in SD situations, I've only really used positional control/clinch aspects of the sport. That has served me well. No cases, and never hurt badly. -
