    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    BJJ + Systema

Having trouble deciding between BJJ and Systema?

Now you don’t have to! There’s a new academy in Beverly Hills called “The Academy: Beverly Hills” which teaches Rigan Machado Jiu Jitsu and Martin Wheeler’s Systema.

I think my head just exploded.

I actually just saw this on the Dog Brothers facebook page.

It does seem a bit weird.

I live next to Beverly Hills (in Hollywood) I need to see what systema is all about. I don't believe anything about it but I will try my best to keep an open mind.

Loving the dangling foot open guard, the gentle cradling of the guy with the knife while you giftwrap him from under side and standing guard to floppy arms.

Wow first time i saw such a ridiculous systema demo. It looks like russian Ikido.
I am sad to say that this looks like a waste of time. Those slap punches while skipping on one leg didn't seem too real to me.
This is very strange. usually russians are very pragmatic, they don't tend to waste time on crap..and this is some serious crap.

Is it me, or BJJ is being used more and more as a "credibility tool"

Yes, this. Dude doing goofy **** trying to sell it? Well, he's got some BJJ experience, so maybe he actually knows something! Sign me up!

God, it would be fun to roll into a club like this and just maul everyone. If ever I needed a big ego-stoking, maybe I'd do it.
