True! by the way i don't see why he won? i thought you fake landed more punches, and you dropped him twice (the only thing that was better is his posture which was lower and more stable). This jumping forward with your leg high maybe keeps them from kicking successfully but a leg kick would drop you, beside the fact that this position is very bad for you, you can't punch well from it nor can you kick hard and good. If you find yourself doing it in sparring all the time it will be best if you also practice it in front of the heavy bag as often as possible, and from that weird defensive position learn how to kick and punch better. Also what about some feints? you don't feint at all!!! against some one like this guy a couple of feints would have allowed you to plant a kick and get a score. Again practice feints in front of the heavy bag and in shadow boxing until it is a reflex, you should use feints all the time especially before a kick which is slow compered to a punch.

First you need to learn to use angles of attack. Currently you keep going back and forth. learn to cut the angle when they come in and you can utilize your ridge hand or round kick techniques. Secondly know your reach. You seem to hesitate your technique and draw your technique back too soon. If you extend a bit further you will make better contact. Lastly do not depend on the same combinations. Most of what you do are back fist round kick. Mix it up. Use the round kick to close the distance and follow up with back fist reverse punch.
While I know a lot of people are not big proponents of point sparring, I happen to like it. Work on your timing and moving around more and add some more techniques in your arsenal. Enjoy.
