New Shooting Range, Newbie Might Check It Out

A new shooting range just opened up right across the street from one of the offices where I work. A buddy and I are essentially completely new to shooting (I've fired shot-guns and pistols once or twice with friends, but really not much exposure to firearms at all). We were thinking of checkin g out the range, but can't decide which course to take (e.g. what is the best experience for our money). Anyone near the Richmond area checked out the range yet? Any seasoned shootists remember their newbie days and have an idea of whether a short basic class is better than shelling out more for a longer class?

Those are all your "standard" NRA firearms courses, as a newbie you can't really go wrong. The Concealed Carry/First Steps Pistol sounds like a winner because it has the added benefit of meeting VA concealed carry license requirements.

This one seems to be the winner.

If it has Tires or Tits, expect problems.

Thanks for the news; it's unfortunate that this new range isn't any more useful for my purposes than the range about 30 miles from my house which I almost never visit.
