Since both The Warmaster and Warhammer have been claimed by better men, maybe I could be the Boltthrower? I better go work on my right cross.

If people at my gym start calling me Kharn the Betrayer, I'll be chuffed too. Good luck to you man, please keep us updated with more progress. I've just now seen this thread for the first time and I'm so happy you're having a great experience.

    I got a fight! :D

On April 12th I'll be fighting Francis Cullimore, an ex professional Rugby player with some of the biggest arms I've ever seen - he's a small heavyweight though, currently weighs around 103 (That's about 215 pounds I think?). At of all the other heavyweights on the show (and not to put the others down or anything) I think Francis will be the biggest challenge, but I reckon I can take him.

Three months of training to come to get read y for this beast - wish me luck!

I've put up the next Video Blog for the first week of holiday training. Enjoy!

Also, some news - this morning I weighed in at 118.5 kilos. Shedding some weight!

Formal professional Rugby player? Doesn't that mean he washes his hands in his own blood and bites other people's heads as a hobby?

Yeah, probably - I trained with him for the first three months of the show, and he definitely is a tough bloke - he was saying that in Rugby, you just push hernia's back in and get back to training. But, also training with him showed me he is about as skilled - if not less so - than I am in regards to combat sports. I'm confident I can get him, just got to be careful of his athleticism.

Yes and yes. Out of the four heavyweights (not to take anything away from the others) I think he's the most challenging match-up. But, I'm a good 7 or so inches taller than he is, about 16 kilos (35 pounds) heavier currently (though he is sure to be bulking up over the next 3 months, and I'll probably be closer to 110 kilos), and with a much longer reach, I've got some advantages of my own. I think I'm currently ahead of him in the grappling game as well.

I reckon I've got to work hard over the next 12 weeks, but it's completely do-able. Overall I'm pretty excited!

Francis Cullimore - ex-League player (Warriors) and Rugby Sevens for NZ, and a bit of Super 12. That's an earnest opponent man, simply the conditioning he's received from other big units mashing him on a paddock over the years will make for a tough match. Mind you - he has no sideburns. I wish you well and will be barracking for you. Reach and weight will help. But I reckon if you sneak in a Tri-Colour mouthguard and lay on a Joker grin before the for the bout you may just rattle him.
