Yeah, what was that all about? Too bad he didn't get a warning from the referee earlier than the 5th round ... or better yet a Pride yellow card for not engaging.

Agreed..that's why Maynard started being a dick.
I've never been a huge Guida fan, not sure why but there's something about him that annoys me.

Yes that was probably the second-best part of the fight, with Gray giving him the finger the best part. Otherwise it was just Maynard chasing Guida around .

Every other fight with Guida I really enjoyed ... this almost makes me want to say Khalib Starnes. That was just outright weird.

Definitely not Guida's best performance, but I really don't think Maynard did anything that deserved a "W" tonight.

I love Guida, but this fight of his was terrible. I can't help but feel that Greg Jackson is to blame for this performence. Guida is usually willing to fight and grapple, but here, his backpedaling was getting ridiculous. I swear I heard a Curly "whoopwhoopwhoopwhoopwhoopwhoop" from him at one point while he was running away. I was expecting his usual exciting style of bouncing and striking like he did with Takanori Gomi, but I feel that Greg Jackson decided to play the "genius coach" role and tell him to run away. I am glad that most of the coaches scored the fight in Maynard's favor. As much as I love Guida, I hope this sends a message to Greg Jackson and others that running away and evading does not win in the octagon.
