Fedor was the best kind of fighter. The kind of fighter who never settled for "not losing", he always came to win. This is what makes him a great. I can honestly say I was always excited about his fights.

Totally agree that this was about the classiest and most intelligent way for Fedor to leave the MMA game. Always enjoyed watching him.

Oh, silly me. I never got on the Fedor bandwagon. No need for you to get all butt-hurt that I don't like your favorite fighter.

Anyone unable to appreciate the contributions of Fedor to heavyweight mixed martial arts has no appreciation of mixed martial arts as a whole and should probably **** off back to Sherdog where they belong.

Good on Fedor for hanging them up before he became a joke. I have but one regret: That we never saw Fedor vs Barnett. The sheer awesomeness of that matchup would have shattered the earth's crust, drowning every man, woman and child in a hundred mile radius in molten lava. Probably for the best it never happened, when you think about it, but that doesn't make Barnett's failed roid test any less infuriating in retrospect.

This. Plenty of great fighters have continued on fighting for too long, and its good that he got out when he did, with his legacy, brain and joints intact. I'm glad he didn't go out in a sea of dumb memes about him losing written over that pic of him eating ice cream.
