I didn't really read gong sau from Dale's comments. Am I missing something?

Interesting. Well, I know I didn't see him at the Mega which happened in his own back yard. Would have been a good opportunity to see these skills.

I asked him about Sparring on my first day. He told me there would be plenty of sparring, as two other students attested to, however, not for another month or so. Something about me being brand new, and everyone else having been there a while. So far, I'm just doing basic walk-the circle with different stances stuff, which is apparently how all Ba Gua lessons regardless of teacher/style start out as. We shall see how it goes!

Hedge or Dale? I do not keep up with the TD forum.

You are thinking personal beef and it has nothing to do with that.

Well let us know because I am curious as to what they call sparring and what I call sparing..

Dale...and no, I didn't think it had anything to do with personal beef. I just thought that it sounded like Dale's "open door policy" sounded like a confident, albeit somewhat arrogant invite to come see what's up if anyone doubted their system, and Hedge seemed to be calling it out as a gong sau challenge. That's why I was wondering if I missed something.

Website history, not personal history. One person hates kung fu the other does not. Dale takes a ton of **** for his beliefs in Herbal and traditional training, like Iron Palm. He has had an open door policy since he joined.

That response, by his standards, is a "come see what we have" no drama response. Others may see it differently. From what I have seen, on two other websites, if Dale is going to lay down a gong sau it will not be open to multiple interpretation.

HH knows this, but needles anyway. If you read past the sarcasm, you can see what Hedge means.

    I just love how that's coming from a cos-playing, ninja-hunting BJJ guy.
