Why do you keep bringing up stuff, and then refusing to provide proof or elaboration of those points? Don't use an appeal to authority and then fail to verify it. If you can say where and under who you trained, then don't bring up training. This is not that complex.

But until you provide that proof, you may as well be a kungfu noob.

Seems some people need to research before they post.

Bai Shi/Pai Se is where you kow tow(knock head) three times before your teacher, offer them Hong Bao, and tea. If the teacher takes the money, and your tea, usually after swearing loyalty in front of witnesses, make oaths.

That's probably easier said than done. Your knowledge and the insight you offer isn't exactly available through Google.

If it has Tires or Tits, expect problems.

Actually, all it requires is not posting unless you've done said research.

    Indeed.

Mind you, the 5th Degree aside, I'm still curious about his Tai Chi, if nothing else....

In some cultures parents kill there children because they refuse to marry the person chosen for them. Just because it's part of cultural, behaviour, it doesn't make it right or good. Somethings are just more wrong than they are right.
Wow, how did I miss this? Just because you don't understand the culture, doesn't make it just more wrong.

I am also greatly disappointed in this thread.

Btw, a few years back this book did quite some damage in some of our hillbilly regions, where priests are still influential. shop.ellelministries.org/Exposing-the-Dangers-Behind-Martial-Arts-and-Yoga.html
    (sponsors, students,... withdrew from dojos)

I wonder if this is some prick who read how 'the arts are bad, because they create confident, healthy, strong individuals, who believe, that they can overcome problems alone' and such bull++it.

Well, if you want a good laugh buy the book. All Catholics should have already. And quit before you start sh++ing nails and speaking weird languages.

I remember Pat Robertson saying that karate or taekwondo are ok, but kung fu is bad because you invite spirits into you by imitating animals.
