    Hell yeah! Hell no!
    Hey all!

Interesting topic. I'm an ITF practicioner from central europe, currently in Austria attending WTF. I had some experience with WTF guys and their style of fighting. I think it is quite hard to create a ruleset in which both parties can rely on what they learnt. As i see it, ITF rules are somewhat more flexible and encourage more kickboxing like fights, while WTF is not.
We had a black-belt WTF guy in our club, whom I sparred regularly, and under our rules he is pretty much screwed if i close the distance and punch him in the face...

On the other hand i could never beat him in WTF rules, as his roundhouse kicks are pretty darn fast and powerful. (maybe with some well timed front kicks, but those don't result in many points i guess....)

Personally in sparring i rely mostly on sidekicks with front legs, some roundhouses and mostly hand work. But then i'm not that experienced i'm only colored (in terms of belt) and haven't done any other MA besides some Judo when i was a kid:P

Use the shidokan rules, those would be the only fair set of rules to settle WTF vs ITF style.

Okay...under developed thought of the day:

    For stand-up fighting only:
Keep WTF rules, add face punching.
That way, ITF guys could still use their front-leg preference, but wouldn't get many points for it. The trade off is, they get to punch to the face.
