Right so came 2nd out of 4 in middleweight which is my actual weight class. Also fought at heavyweight to make up the numbers and lost both of those fights, I battle to deal with taller guys at the moment.
Also fought one low armour fight with padded sticks, which was enormous amounts of fun, felt like I was doing really well with heaps of body shots, but he won due to more head strikes.
All in all a huge amount of fun and 5 fights in one day was pretty intense.
Next one's in 3 months, next time, better blocking and more strikes to opponent's head.
Thanks for the advice and assistance! -

Cool! Congrats. Sounds like you have a few good fights!
Honestly, weightclass matters little in armored sparring. Stick weight has more impact on a fight than size. A bigger guys mass shouldn't be much of an issue...reach, however, is hard to deal with. You really have to work on crashing safely, baiting them and getting your timing down solid. Those are the things that nullify reach. Also fought at heavyweight to make up the numbers and lost both of those fights, I battle to deal with taller guys at the moment.
