OK, so...just the way the book reads so far, it seems like a great young adult fic novel...
So when I got to the graphic sex scene, it just really seemed jarring...like it didn't fit with the narrative. I was going to add this to the temple's young adult library...now, guess not.
Do you know how hard it is to find good Buddhist fiction for kids?
On the plus side, the choreography for the fight scenes so far would be all modern Donnie Yen style...and not wire fu.

That stuff did seem a little forced to say the least. I guess the author was thinking 'sex sells' or something like that. Also a little strange to think of buddhisatva type individuals indulging and feeling such strong desire but it did humanize the characters a little IMO.
