DREAM, the PRIDE FC successor, and last notable remaining Japanese MMA promotion, has ceased operations as of this morning.

I am still waiting for a confirmation via nightmareofbattle.com,
but it seems indeed as if, after many attempts at new starts,
DREAM is finally dead.

With that, the Golden Age of JMMA is, finally, ultimately over,
as Pancrase and DEEP, the only two notable promotions that remain,
are really regional shows, nothing more.

To the past, gentlemen!

No not really we still have Bellator, K1, and MFC to name a few outside of Zuffa.

Japan hasn't been relevant to MMA in years. It was Destiny.

No not really we still have Bellator, K1, and MFC to name a few outside of Zuffa.

Notably, there's also still DEEP, which is my biggest hope, and of course, Philipines-based ONE FC.

Also of note are HEAT, ROAD FC, the resurrected RINGS, and Shooto.

However, quite obviously, none of them are PRIDE.
