if you are doing it in your sleep this is know as sleep apnea depending on the type of sleep apnea it will depend on the severity as to the symptoms, but im going off topic, i think maybe you should try breathing exercises to calm it and get the lass to do it with you so she can see your making an effort.

Don't get me wrong, guys, but please don't speculate; Lindz, go see a doctor. If this is bad, it can be REALLY bad. If it's not bad, then it will be NOT bad.

But none of us here can really tell you.

After exercise my breathing will be different for hours. I don't mean gasping for air for hours and hours. That stops within minutes. I mean just having to take an occasional deeper than normal breath. Is this anything to worry about?
Are you sure it's not yawning? Not being trollish, but I have a tendency to take deep breaths for a while after squatting, and they sometimes end up looking a lot like yawing. My woman sometimes think I am heavy sighing, and thinks something is wrong. Women, amirite?

See a GP and talk about thallessimia. Its very manageable since you don't smoke, but important to know if you have it.

Other than that it could just be HTFU and get fit.

Odd question, does the breathing problem come with an irregular heartbeat?
