Anyone Have Any Good Karate Videos?

Be they awesome kata, simple karate moves you need help with or cool Kumite videos?
this is a kote uchi,

hadn't heard about it before this show but looks cool, potentially a good stunning blow if you can get control of an opposite hand.

The whole human weapon episode was pretty amusing though, good mix of Goju, Kyokushin and other styles of karate talked about

I used to train with a guy who had a thing for obscure non-standard strikes, he used this one a lot and could throw it pretty hard on a bag, not sure how easy it'd be to pull off in sparring though.

It is really easy to generate a lot of power through focusing on a fixed object. As far as using something like this in sparring--the word telegraph comes to mind. If he flipped it out and connected with it without the wind-up, focus, and breath-control, it may generate about 20% of the power he demonstrated. It appeared to me that the bat had a saw-through on the back side.

He didn't call them LIARS. Now, this is the TMA sub-forum calm down or this will be placed in YMAS.

Now, I can go get videos of all of the Baseball players that break bats in the same exact place. This is NOT a knock on the guys fighting skill, it is telling you that there is nothing special about breaking a bat.

I think he was talking about the bat having a saw-through making it flimsy and not a "regular" bat.

Which version of Goju do you train? Does your instructor advocate the use of kote uchi? What about koken uchi?

Perhaps you can use it when you spar a Keysi fighter.

I don't think it would work to well against a Keysi fighter, I think that high guard would render most hook style strikes useless and allow easy long range body shots.
We haven't trained very many unorthodox strikes, most of the strikes we train are simple karate punches and front kicks and muay thai leg kicks.
