    Hell yeah! Hell no!

So, I had an idea recently...

My friend told me about an article she read, and it was about how some random scientists who made patients learn languages by literally putting it in their brains. So, what if you could put a whole martial art in there? I don't think it's a pipe dream either. With the rate technology is growing, it could very well be possible within a decade or two. That being said, what martial art(s) would you learn? Savate? Judo? Krav Maga?

I think you are forgetting muscle memory, Body conditioning, psicological conditioning and improving your stamine, strenght and reflexes all things that martial and combat training do (the good ones) and that you cant simply upload

Hypothetically, what if someone (say a pro MMA fighter) were to 'download' these? Whole different story.

I dont think a Pro MMA fighter needs them to destroy an average thug, but yes They will improve the MMA fighter game a lot for example a grappler specialist who gets Savate, Kyokushin, Muay Thai and boxing techniques and tactics. But I thought the idea was to give an average joe instant knowledge?

I would like a link to this article you mentioned. I'm a cynical sob and I don't think the science to do what you're saying is anywhere remotely close to that level. Specifically I'm calling complete and utter bullshit on the part where random scientists have gotten together and installed/put a foriegn language in patients heads.

it's a pipe dream even further removed than cold fusion.

More for an average martial artist. From then on, they just need to condition, excersise, etc.

I don't have a link. I didn't think about it much at the time, I just thought "cool." I'll ask her Tuesday though.

What does it mean exactly to "literally" put a language into someones brain? That sounds to me like either they listened to it a lot, which wouldn't work magically, or they cut someones head open and threw a german-english dictionary at it.
