I'm not the only one who thought of that joke.

I doubt you finished within the first million people to think of that joke, actually.

Gotta tell you, and this will sound weird as a lot of fighters and coaches who I deeply respect are loaded up on tattoos, but I kind of think tattoos are silly for people who fight.

You know, we get more meaningful scarring of our tissue to commemorate our art by free and organic process:

Wow, that is wicked! Was that from a horizontal elbow or something like that?

For me its less about "I'm a fighter so I want a fighting tattoo" and more about celebrating what will for me be a unique accomplishment. I also want to get a tattoo for when I graduate, and for when I get married, and for when (if) I get into the Airforce.

Round kick. And he was wearing a thick instep pad. Then man just knew how to kick.

Tattoo why not they should represent things that are important to you. I plan on getting one for each art I plan on studying.

Seems like everyone on the Internet got a nerdy tattoo a few years ago, and it losts its novelty on me very quickly. It started as something that made someone appear quirky and memorable, and now its the opposite of that. I hate seeing a Star Wars tattoo. Hate it. I've lamented at dumb Picard and Spock tattoos, and I effin love Star Trek. Something seems weird when the one thing you want to communicate to the world is "I liked an old TV show!" or "I'm really into a mediocre sci fi movie cash cow".

I remember seeing this pic of a girl who got 2 Spocks tattooed on her boobs. I think it's a shame. I'm sure she can get nerds to have sex with her now, which is kinda like building a campfire in a boiler room to stay warm.

    (NSFW)
    Spoiler:

I wonder if folks'll be as quick to defend her decision when she's older and the Spocks are starting to look like horse faces.

I got my favorite Final Fantasy character tattooes a few years ago.

    Didn't regret it.

Then, there is a difference between iconic art, and an icon.

Don't get a tie fighter tatt'ed; unless you yourself sport a vagina,
you might never see one again after.
