Yes, he died. It was a combination of brain tissue damage from his jaw conditioning and exhaustion from his chi sao matches with his wife in the pool. If only he had practiced his forms more his body would have been strong enough to handle all that pressure!

Update from CERN: Brother Daniel was the subject of test and treatment, his penis and testicles continued to shrink the more he practised teh r34l chun, to the point where they were only recognisable under an electron microscope. There has been a theory now tabled known only as BDPaTS-1 (BrotherDaniel Penis and Testicle Shrinkage- 1st stage), where scientists have begun researching the possibility of, at a subatomic level, matter reversing itself, not quite into anti- matter, but just enough to "correct" itself in the universe. Sort of "apologising" for having been present, wiping it's stain from existence.

This theory was proposed after the observation that BrotherDaniel disappeared entirely, seemingly overnight, with scientists and doctors in the very same room. The scientists had studied ninjas in the past and this had happened before, but they assumed the disappearance was because they were ninjas and prone to it. Now that a t3h r34l chun practitioner disappeared in front of them, they were confronted with the possibility that BDPaTS-1, penis and testicle shrinkage that sub-atomically destroys itself and it's connection to the universe through practicing the chun, is a very real phenomenon and that it could and most likely is also affecting ninjas.
