    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Breathing heavy after exercise

OK I know go see a doctor don't get medical advice off the intarwebs.

After exercise my breathing will be different for hours. I don't mean gasping for air for hours and hours. That stops within minutes. I mean just having to take an occasional deeper than normal breath. Is this anything to worry about?

Um, maybe? Could be nothing, could be anything. I've never really given my post-workout breathing any thought, so I'm curious as to how/why this caught your attention.

Not know the context of your exercise (Judo/Running/Circuits/Weights) I won't venture an opinion.

Nor knowing your Age/underlying fitness level.

Nor the Intensity of your training/quality of Rest/Sleep or if you're Over-Training.

I would suggest you ask the advice of your GP (General Practitioner) or (US) Family Doctor.

im an army medic mate my advice speak to a doctor but im thinking its just your fitness level, it sounds like your recovery time is very long ie; you need to get fitter, as eddie as said without knowong your fitness level and regime its hard to pin point the underlying cause!

breathe out more than you breathe in. Could be a serious problem. But could be a form of hyperventilation.

Hell breathe into a paper bag see what happens

That. Also, if you smoke, stop, and wait a day.

Oh. Okay. Well, good. Don't. Don't start smoking.

I'm having a little trouble understanding why your girlfriend is conscious and why you are conscious of this type of breathing. Are you doing it in your sleep?
