    Some of this stuff is brutal. BJJ is that much more potent in a no rules environment.

    BJJ is awesome and some of these videos were pretty cool, but at the same time a lot of the descriptions were BS. Like they always tried to paint it as the BJJ guy 'defending himself' when most of those situations could easily be walked away from. Kinda made the BJJ guy look like a dick or a bully, but on the other hand, for scientific purposes its a good channel.

    Also, watching some of these videos really convinced me that MMA grappling (assuming that it's backed by legitimate BJJ skills) is the next evolution of ground fighting. I mean, I suppose that should be a given, but watching this footage really drove the point home for me. Though the BJJ guy got the submission eventually, it could have been achieved much quicker and more efficiently if set up by ground and pound -- from top or bottom. There were a lot of long-ish stalemates that some punches or elbows could have broken, and in the favor of the trained grappler, obviously.

    DoOd, I have to do that in the descriptions because Youtube will yank the videos off if you don't. If you are "Glorifying violence" they will yank....but if they are educational as in "This guy uses bjj here in self defense for...." then you can keep it.

    No glorifying violence? Haven't they read Beowulf?
    The fool thinks himself immortal,
    If he hold back from battle;
    But old age will grant him no truce,
    Even if spears spare him.
