I'm more concerned that somewhere in the home office is a civil servant, we are paying for, who's job it is to look out for RBSD larpers like Larkin. And not only that, but that
heshe knows so little about martial arts thatheshe genuinely believes Larpin to be dangerous.
Scratch that, its almost definitely a woman. -

http://coreconcepts.forumotion.co.uk...ironic-perhaps IRONIC PERHAPS?
Mick Coup Today at 2:28 pm
As I'm sure many will be aware, Tim Larkin - founder of Target Focus Training - has been refused entry to the UK on the grounds that "his presence here was not conducive to the public good".
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18002220
This does seem excessive in my opinion, but this isn't the purpose of this thread to be honest - what I find interesting, amusing even, is two-fold.
Firstly, as the saying goes 'you reap what you sow' and Larkin has long been an advocate of the over-the-top hard-sell marketing approach, trying his very best to sensationalise and scaremonger, and has tried for that 'in your face' brutal-truth hyperbole at every opportunity, notwithstanding his very dubious claimed military service background - that has since been exposed and refuted.
Secondly - and the irony of the matter perhaps - is that the 'maim and kill' material that 'violence-expert' Larkin presents as being so effective, so dangerous as to render him persona non grata, is in my opinion anything but - and personally I feel that anyone armed with his training would certainly be dangerous...to themselves.
His lethal slow-motion fantasy-fighting nonesense might talk the talk - the written/spoken rhetoric is certainly 'optimistic' concerning how potent it purports to be, but seriously...too violent? I'm of the opinion that any run-of-the-mill Muay Thai training - regardless of sporting focus - incorporates far more 'violence' than any 'TFT' lunacy ever will...
Maybe a reminder to 'be careful what you wish for' when it comes to creative self-promotion, boastful marketing, and the manufacture ofreputations.
It would be easy for Larkin to lift the exclusion order I reckon - just by demonstrating his ridiculous TFT material against resisting and unpredictable adversaries...the results would undoubtedly leave the government wondering why it took him so seriously at all...
