(I believe this is the English title for the Hanzo no Mon mentioned earlier in the thread.)

I have to plug Usagi Yojimbo again. If all you know of this character comes from the TMNT cartoon or toys, then you don't know Usagi. Stan Sakai has created a wonderful, multi-dimensional character and intricate world of places and supporting characters. The art is amazing.

Just finished volume 1. One of the best comics this nerd has read.

Some great titles here. Have you read Shinobi No Kuni yet? It's a manga version of a novel that's loosely based off the Tensho Iga Wars.

No. I actually fell out of reading comic books about 7 years ago shortly after my daughter was born. Other than the Samurai Period / Ninja titles, I was never that into Manga, so my awareness of releases in that form was sadly lacking.

My plan is to start getting my daughter into comic books this summer, so I should start hitting the comic book store again on a fairly regular basis. I will have to look for this; thanks for the tip!

Surprised that no one else put this one up. It's a fictionalized version of Miyamoto Musashi's life.

If you can read Japanese or can find a translated version, Shura no Mon is a good Karate manga.

The Immortal Iron Fist and Shang-Chi Master of Kung Fu are my favorites.

OK, so there's a lot of fun to be had in those titles... But this was specifically about JMA in comics.
