    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Light headed and/or dizzy?

Lately I have experienced light headed and dizzyness after getting up from sitting or laying down.
I used to do this when I was a teenager, even pass out, but that was a long time ago.

    Anyone know why?
    How can I correct this?

How's your blood pressure? You stand up too fast and the blood is pulled downward by gravity.
Stand up more slowly, you're gonna do it anyways when you get older! :)

I think there was more stuff, I'll get back to you on this.

Obviously........seek the advice of a trained professional blah blah blah amputate it.
By how's your heart rate I meant do some research yourself to kinda get a idea of how you are doing....

Don't have your age, weight, family history and I'm not qualified to comment on this matter. :D

Maybe you're anemic. Try taking an iron supplement. At any rate, it can't hurt. See a doctor if it really bothers you.

Anemia MIGHT be one of my diagnosis' (lol, because I'm so qualified!) if he was tired/ lacking energy a lot of the time.

More iron in your body is good though. :)

And btw have you considered amputating the offending limb? It has worked for me but now I type slower.

I looked up some stuff and have opinions already.
I just wanted more opinions (more informed kind of thing)

When I used to give blood my iron was fine.

I have been told it is do to my lower end of normal BP & pulse.
The only solution is getting up slower (what Piz said)

While a low resting heart rate and blood pressure are usually very healthy things, when you begin to experience postural hypotension (feeling dizzy as you stand) this can the be the sign of a problem.

If this blood pressure and heart rate are a change from your usual values, see a doctor immediately.

If they are not too different from normal for you, you should still see your primary care physician about this to make sure it is nothing serious. There are many many reasons to experience postural hypotension ranging from completely benign (like dehydration or a cold) to extremely worrisome (internal bleeding, perforated ulcer, etc)

That blood pressure does seem rather low, even for a young, very active, athletic individual. Have you lost blood lately?

If I were you, I would see a physician to be screened for anemia or other disorders.

Let us know how things turn out.
