Reminds me that Teddy Atlas in his autobio wrote that when he was sacked by Donny Lalonde, he intended to shoot Lalonde.

I've never particularly liked Teddy - I was appalled by his grandstanding with Michael Moorer. It looks like I was right.

I can't say for certain if this was truly the case or not but I could understand where he is coming from. There seems to be a very "interesting" class/race divide in Brazil, to say the least. I'm sure some of our Brazilian members can chime in better on this. The only thing I can find is articles on the Internet.

I recall an anthro article that noted that Brazilians have dozens of different racial terms to describe the "race" of a person, and that there's a notion in Brazil that its good to be a bit "mixed", but one generally aims to marry someone of lighter skin than their own.

That's what those articles I linked hinted at as well. They discussed how, unlike in the States where, generally speaking of course, there are certain rigid categories that most identify with (Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Native, etc). There appears to be such a large mixture that the spectrum is a lot wider. That said, what seems to be universal in these cases, is the darker the berry, the not-so-sweeter the quality of life.

its sort of similair to native americans in america. alot of people will say they have indian or do have some degree but the life of actual/full indgenous people is indeed separate. Anderson's actions lead me to believe he was discriminated against hence " play body!" when he fought damien maia
