    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Fought in am sanshou again (video)

Didn't want to put this up, it's the most pathetic display I've ever entered, I had no cardio, I gas around 1 min in, I'm constantly moving back and getting pushed out. I want this embarrassment to motivate me because there's another competition in June and I'm praying I can figh this guy again, I wont lose a second time.

I'm the guy in black shinguards/body protector.

At 4.14 it looks like the ref is awarding your opponent a point for diving at your legs and then sliding across the floor on his knees as you retreat. I know you step out, but that seems a bit harsh given that he's on his knees a second or two beforehand.

You didn't look gassed to me until around the last minute, it looked like you still had energy.

I think the logic is since it should be on a raised platform once I'm on the blue mats I'd be on my arse.

There were moments in that fight I couldnt move at all, my hands were like dead weights (which is ironic since when I did hit him I didn't do much damage), there were times I felt paralyzed, and they were only 2 minute rounds. I just didnt put the work in.

If you haven't had a lot of experience fighting, and I mean in a competition and not sparring, the adrenaline dump can do crazy things to you. Like feeling gassed before the fight even starts or completely forgetting how to move with the same confidence and fluidity you might in the gym.

Also happens when stepping into a bigger arena, like some fighters who move from local or regional shows into the UFC for the first time.

It's relatively common and easy to cure, just compete more.

Otherwise, besides a few mistakes people have already pointed out, it really didn't look all that bad.

you looked like you were either a) coping or b) attacking just to stay 'busy' - you never seem to have a real offense in mind to land a hit.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.
