Yeah, Hopkins disappointed me.
Typically, I'm ok with clinching. I think its the sign of a good pro. In this case, it was just a setup for his heatbutting.
<<Sigh>>
But at 47, I guess its time Bernard finally dropped a step.
I'm still a fan of Hopkins, and think watching Bad Chad fight in akin to watching grass grow. I hope he does get a fight with Andre Ward... if he had problems with Hopkins... woo boy, Ward'll give him fits. -

I don't think Dawson has the skills to beat Ward. He can look forward to maybe a close decision if he can avoid being KOd. That fight might have its fair share of headbutts too. Maybe Hopkins should start his own league fighting under London Prize Ring Rules. Would be a good place for all the dirty clinching headbutting tacticians of the boxing world.

I quite agree, if he has a hard time with Hopkins... Ward has a lot of those same skills and is a lot faster.
It is an interesting thought... never happen, but it would be interesting.Maybe Hopkins should start his own league fighting under London Prize Ring Rules. Would be a good place for all the dirty clinching headbutting tacticians of the boxing world. -

Is it just me or does Hopkins hold too much
