    No, try again. He didn't ask why was there a mirror there? He was asking why was there no backing on the mirror? Christ, even a bit of thin plywood would have done the trick.

    Because some contractors have a shoddy reputation to maintain and properly backed mirrors aren't going to make people think you're cheap and lazy.
