    Traditional Judo

While researching martial arts I came upon this site http://www.traditionaljudouk.com/, this guy seems to teach traditional judo. It seems more like a martial art than modern sport judo.

This is the demo of the what he is teaching

    Any thoughts about it?

If they do randori, as their club photos suggest and used to be in the BJA/BJC they are probably not terrible. Constructing your own tiny organisation is not a good sign, and they seemed to be linked to Zen Judo who are distinctly non-traditional in rejecting shiai.

The technique on the throws in that video looks OK. The entries off strikes, and the strikes themselves, are total bullshit, but that's consistent with how those things are in Judo kata.

44% of their black belts are from the same family...

Don't really like the look of those mats either.

Yeah the kicking and punching looks awful and nearly half of their black belts are from the same family lol,

Btw judoka_uk I am trying to find a club close to Portsmouth that actually trains adults more than twice a week but there nothing to be found, most of the clubs train only once a week or dont train adults at all... that is really strange...
