    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Decided to try out Kyokushin karate

Well had my first lesson in Kyokushin karate, slightly different from previous styles of karate I undertaken in the past :Baww:

However, I must say that I enjoyed it. Didn't partake in the sparring as I'm not licenced/insured yet, but as I've entered it as a beginner I'm not in any rush.

    Osu!

I only started a couple of months ago. It's tough but I am enjoying it. Like anything, the more you put in, the more you'll get out of it.

What's the story with licensing/insurance there? Are you covered as part of your membership fee or are you required to buy it for yourself?

The membership fee/insurance is different from the class fee. Paperwork and payment will be sorted in a fortnight (that's the next time I can go train due to work).

    Congrats on the new training.

And here is this for everyone who was wondering(like I was):

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortnight

Fortnight is a unit of time equal to fourteen days, or two weeks. The word derives from the Old English fēowertyne niht, meaning "fourteen nights".

Hah, I never wondered about that (although English is not my mother tongue). And I know why: we start learning British English in school here so those words are used a lot. Had to learn American English later (when I was living in Indiana).
