This is free - and should be highly cool. Hard to say how much longer Big Nog will be around so am pleased to see him fight again. Very much looking forward to seeing Erick Silva again. And I want to see Thiago Silva finish his opponent (again!).

Nog vs. Werdum should shed a little more light on Werdum's status as a legit contender. Nog is past his prime for sure, but even over the hill, he should be a tougher test than Mike Russow was. That said, I like how Werdum's standup is looking lately. He's putting good combinations with kicks together and his clinch is pretty nasty. I think he'll beat Nog, and he'll probably do it standing up. I'm not sure if he's got what it takes to off JDS or Velasquez, but it'd probably be a good fight with either of them.

    Short version:

Interested to see how Braga Neto fares in MMA.

While Santos has good takedowns for a BJJ specialist I don't think he can win the TUF finale. Patalino is damn talented for a 21 year old.

    Werdum ftw.
Curiosity killed the cat. But damn it had a blast.

Word. I'm not convinced he has the skills to beat either of them either, but I do think he is a legit contender. I think him and Overeem are probably the only two with the capability of preventing the heavyweight division from becoming "Velasquez, JDS, and everyone else"

Yeah, that was a very nice showing by him and his perfect hair.

Also, Thiago Silva conquered Calavante, but can he conquer... his post-fight drug test?!

Werdum looked nice in his bout against Big Nog. Except he really needs to work on not letting himself get backed up so much when standing up. Against someone like Velasquez, who is great at pressuring forward and much more nimble on the feet than Big Nog or Roy Nelson, he would get backed into a corner pretty easily.

Definite contender for Best Card of 2013.

Mega-impressed by Werdum and Thiago Silva.

I hope so. I think he learned his lesson after the suspension for the faked sample. Really happy to see him get that finish - I really like his fights and hope to see another W. for him.

    He's been fed easy fights.

Let's see how he does against contenders.
