As BBC Morning News etc has relocated to Salford (FFS) I shall be turning more to Sky News (though I detest the unscrupulous and devious Rupert Murdoch and his The Sun Editors) or EuroNews. Or back to Radio 4.

Re Jon Snow (he made a glaring error in criticising the Norweigan Minister at the time of the Breidis massacre: he complained that they weren't accepting enough Immigrants. Note to Jon: Norway has never had an African or Middle East empire). Yeah I read his book, it was OK but no higher than that. He lives very close - not that that matters.

John Simpson's series are much better and articulate the BBC in-house policy of editing his copy to avoid Bias. It rankled with him but in hindsight he saw its merit.

    Anyway...

    You decide....

    What to see and do

What to see and do in Salford? Where to start? Take a trip back in time to Salford past by visiting Ordsall Hall or following one of our heritage trails around the city. Culture vultures will be spoilt for choice with world class art and theatre at The Lowry and cutting edge grassroots music and events on Chapel Street at Islington Mill. Get stuck into our great range of restaurants and bars, then work it all off on a cycle ride or at one of our Fit City centres.

Pleasing for news story = just facts as little bias a author and editor can manage.
    This presumably:

    The Beeb loves immigrants.

I've spent a chunk of my life in Salford. It really is that bad.

MediaCity doesn't really count as Salford proper - it's cocooned in its own little island of art galleries, waterfront apartments and a low-rent "designer outlet".

The rest of Salford is a barely inhabitable wasteland. When someone wrote a song about it this is what happened:

    Judoka uk,

That's the one. Not bad. Does not have some of the phrases like "Arizona law ignited a storm of controversy"

Probably should explain who the pew research center is but one could google it so I'm quibbling.

Used neutral terms for illegal alien (not trying to show any bias myself just the common term I am used to)

So not a bad straight news story in my humble opinion.
