I really don't know what to tell you - I've only been doing martial arts a little less than a year so I can't compare it to anything or claim great expertise - All I know is it's a lot different to Japanese Jiu Jitsu and K-1 Kickboxing, if that's any help at all?
Try it and if it works, it works/You like it, then it works and you like it. :) -

Haha, yes, but I always refer to what I learn as 'K-1', because I'm not learning Muay Thai or regular kickboxing either. Unless there's a proper thing to call it...? If so let me know :P
@It Is Fake: I'm not a long-time martial artist, basically and relatively new when compared to most of the members on here who've been doing all of their stuff for years/have done multiple types of fighting styles.
