WIN furniture ideas... GO!

I like the minimal kind of look, so I don't like much furniture. I would suggest someplace with nice wood floors. In the living space, put a nice looking carpet, a small coffee table and a few of floor cushions; no sofa.
For a bed, I like those Japanese fold out mats. You could go with an awful futon, but the mat on the floor is the real winner. Along the walls/corners place shelving or cabinets for your hoardings, books and things. No problem, easy to clean up, less space used is more wrestle room.

That carpet can double for some of your other 'extracurricular' activities:

An overstuffed recliner with a built in cup holder sitting four feet from a onehundredfour inch wide screen TV. (metric sizes are "hu-fucking-mongous" for the tv, and "a little over kicking range" for chair distance). Hang a sign on the wall that says "Beware all women and people who enter this space.If you have been invited to be here, you are welcome only as long as you are welcome. At that moment you become unwelcome, you should get the hell out." Disconnect the doorbell and phone and forward all of your email to the spam filter.
