It is fake,

It is your right to believe you can determine an art based on two lessons a week for a few weeks. I am not satisfied in believing this after 8 lessons.

To all others, it is obvious this forum and thread are not for me. As a true student of the arts I respect all arts, students and instructors, whether I like the style or not. I wish you would all do the same. If it wasn't for you then sorry to hear that and best of luck finding your dojo:

It isn't my right it is a fact. If you need someone else to determine things in your life more power to you.

Well as an intelligent person I respect arts that work, students that learn, and instructors that can teach. These are not universal things. Plenty of arts that suck, plenty of students that suck, and even more teachers that have no buisness taking other peoples money to teach them things they can't use.

If somebody is instructing his students to grab at knife blades, I don't need to take or even observe a single lesson to know he is teaching dangerous bullshit.

It only took you 2 posts to figure that universal truth out, however no one can judge or gauge your art after only 8 lessons because it's too special. Right.

I have a theory that you'd say 64 lessons isn't anything either. Or 128. Or any power of 2, really.

As to Zach as an instructor, he is amazing. He knows aspects about the art that older adults can't pick up. What does it matter if he is the Master's son or not? Being a good martial artist is all that matters. He does tend to talk a lot, but this is more his young age and will change in time he just needs a nance to grow.

Please take this for what it is, I am older and I hope wiser, I have studied many arts in my time and have met many instructors both young and old and they are all different. It's too bad you didn't like it but don't talk negatively about things you know nothing about. A few weeks shows you nothing.

Please explain this knowledge that is beyond older people. And he went and took the class, it's amazing what you can learn when you do that; even in a few weeks.

I said nothing about universal, there are plenty of people that can not teach not just the arts but math or science also. I do not participate in MMA but I do not bash this style or mixture, nor do I grapple but I respect a persons right to study this.

I was merely stating that Daggermouth was in the lessons with a closed mind and preconceived notions and expectations and that is no way to study any art out there.

You state that they are teaching dangerous things but until you take lessons and see this for yourself I implore you to not judge by one persons view.

The original poster stated that they, a novice in this art, was attempting to tell the master he was wrong in the middle of a class thus was shut down. As was stated before, there is a propper time and place. You are not correct in doing this and even more wrong for then getting upset and screaming ow horrible these people are online because you got shut down.

All I am saying is that if you go in arrogant then you will get upset when the instructor doesn't stroke our ego. You pay instructors to show you what they were taught.

Why should he go see? You already said multiple weeks of seeing won't help understand this art. (what are they teaching that is so complicated you can't tell if it's any good?)

You seem to be taking everything I write out of context. I never said it was so complicated that you can't figure it out. What I was saying is that if you go to a cooking class get half the ingredients then get mad when your souffle doesn't turn out right you have missed the point.

If you don't like the art or the instructor then don't go there, but don't throw about a statement that is not founded on fact but heresy.
