Cheers. I decided after the fact that it would have been funnier if the terrorist was just saying

    Shadowrun was better.

Never cared for the Robotech rpg. More of a Paranoia, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade kid. Also, AD&D 2nd was responsible for my being able to memorize long passages of esoteric information and recall its location. I also liked BESM--it didn't have near the customization of RIFTS but it did have a decent set of game mechanics. Oh, and Traveller. Traveller rocked.

As long as we're nerding out, i'll take the opportunity to pimp out the RPG on dreamwidth I play at. It's a kindof steampunk/fantasy AU thing with lots of intrigue. Think FF 6 meets A Game Of Thrones. I play:

-The adopted daughter of a gentleman thief who's a target for the locations of the WMDs she knows.

-An artificial, compulsive hero created by an exiled fae lord in a xanatos gambit to regain his former power.

-A time traveling Roman bathhouse architect

(Yeah I can kindof barely believe I ever get laid either.)

If we're getting nostalgic about pop art from the 80s, I'd like to mention that someone gave me a high quality book of Boris Vallejo artwork. He was a great artist, but its hard to find any of his work that doesn't have hard bodied semi-nudes.

[snarky] Whatever dude. Your geek cred is weak. I taught myself to read at a college level by the time I was 8. Instead of reading Robotech, I read everything on my parents bookshelves.

Imagine being 9 years old and reading Erica Jong's novel Fear of Flying.

I didn't really understand what she meant by, "aching to have every orifice filled" at the time.[/snarky]

Fun fact about Vallejo, he used his wife as his female model in most of his art featuring women.
Shut the hell up and train.
