Okay, this was no real surprise. I am like most of you and believe Overeem has been roiding for a while. But these guys are professionals and have camps and a dietician and a physician that monitor them. How in the world does someone at that level get caught? It is not that anyone does not suspect it, but everyone expects them to be professional and cycle that stuff to avoid this sort of problem. I hope he dumb ass gets booted.

It was also no surprise that Mir immediately started yapping about how he was ready and would love the chance for the title shot.

Mir deserves the title shot if Overeem can't fight.

Yeah, but it was a surprise test that he was warned would occur at some point. You'd think he'd have made sure to stay somewhere in the neighborhood of the 6:1 T/E ratio that the NSAC allows.

Man, does that suck. One of (if not THE MOST) the most exciting heavyweight striking battles in the upper-end of UFC talent. Like almsot everyone here, not terribly surprised, but really disappointed. Without this fight, I might not even buy this PPV. Ah, hell...who am I kidding, sure I will.

Why does everyone think JDS and Overeem would have been a good fight?? Ok so I am going to try and not make too many comparisons between Overeem and Treebeard due to how fucking slow Overeem moves. But do you guys really think Overeem would have stood a chance against JDS?? I mean at least JDS can actually move and throw a punch faster than it took to build Rome.

Overeem's footwork isn't fast, but if you don't think he can throw a punch with speed then you are crazy. Like, literally denying reality. His counter punches are fast. He's fought faster strikers than JDS and won; so his odds were better than even--especially with JDS's near nonexistent defense.

The man must have taken a few to many shots to head to not have seen the test coming. After the **** he pulled dragging his feet before the fight with Brock you would think he would smarten up. He a talented fighter but imo he hasn't been in the ufc long enough for Dana not to throw him under the bus. As sad as I am that I won't being seeing the Overoid vs JDS fight, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else fight JDS.

I wouldnt really call Overeems punches fast, unless you are comparing them to the life cycle of a star. But mostly I was referrig to his speed of body movement which I would mostly call stationary. But you make a good point about JDS having defense you could drive a truck through, which is about the size of Overeems arms lol. Personally I think they should just let all the fighters roid up, then we could get some real incredible hulk style matches, but they might need a bigger cage.
