    Paleolithic Nutrition

different sites- both are awesome resources.

I have followed this way of eating on and off for almost 10 years. It has been very effective in reducing iflammation and allergies.

What are your thoughts and/or personal experiences?

I doubt that's a good idea if you're not hunting mastadon daily.

just from the synopsis (lean meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables) it sounds good. Next year I am definately going off meal plan, and i have to decide what food to buy. This sounds liek what i pretty much eat already, but i may go vegan or even raw food just to see how i feel on them. I know a frutarian who's like 50 and looks like's she's 25 and has written 2 books on nurtition who i might hit up for info. All the dieting data i've seen is so conflicting that it seems the only way to really tell is to try it out.

Vegan and Raw are pretty paleo compatable without the flesh and of course it is raw

what is your take on the B-12 dilema?

that is that raw foodists/vegans must supplement or eat dirt produce (bugs)

and I have seen some pretty sickly fruitarians

    does your friend supplement?

    with what?

nutritional yeast is a vegan source of all the B vitamins.

But vegans are borderline nutcases, and fructarians are effing crazy. Raw is a bit doctrinaire, but as long as they eat egg and milk they should be okay.

You can stay healthy under these diets, but it isn't easy and is, for fructarianism, very much the exception rather than the rule.
I would liken it to the boxing or the muay thai of internal kung fu, even though that's like calling apples the oranges of the apple world. --WalkOn

    ....<boggles>

If they are our brothers, then why can't we eat them?

But I don't think B-12 is in yeast unless it is fortified.

i agree that many are nutcases

however, they do not consume raw eggs as it contains avadin a protein that is no bueno raw.

and raw doesn't generally do milk (or any animal products) and vegan certainly does not

and I think it is rare indeed for a vegan that doesn't supplement one's diet to be healthy
