BJJ/MMA vs. Wing Chun, Sifu Replies

So, you don't think that the lack of video evidence of -ing -un being used in a real life situation versus the preponderance of video evidence of sport combat arts being used successfully on the "street" detracts from -ing -un's purported efficacy?

For a long time Wing Chun interested me, I think like 90% of the retards who watched Ip Man etc... I scoured the internet looking for someone using Wing Chun techniques and destroying people, whether it was a trained fighter or your average Joe, but all i found was demonstrations or a video titled Wing Chun vs...... where no wing chun techniques were used.

ive been agreeing with that since my 1st post on this forum.

The disease of wing chun is 95% of people dont train hard and they expect results based on they have been told the system is awesome.

That's a hell of a system you got where 95% of the people get away with not training hard.

Way to dodge the question. Despite your statement, there are plenty of videos out there of sport combat arts being used in street fights where the footage is awesome enough to see what's going on in the fight.

maybe wing chun guys also quite like not getting invloved in street fights? your not supposed to get in street fights if you help you know

2 guys that practice wing chun i know are completely out of shape they're both pushing atleast 25 stone :MouthOpen:

they both work as door men in unsavoury club, can they fight, Oh yes they can....

Street fights are over very fast you dont need to be super fit to fight

Hate this line because anyone who works as a doorman knows that fighting is the least import part of your job and if they are getting in to a lot of fights they are doing their job wrong. ALSO beating up drunk and/or high people isn't anyting to talk about. Lastly I am about 18 stones and very fit a 25 stone chunner would be easy to deal with.

of course fighting is the last resort for a doorman, kinda comes with the job though dont you think.
